“In August 1941, the German authorities established a small enclosed ghetto. The synagogue and two other houses on Shkolnaya Street were surrounded with barbed wire. Sometime before the end of October 1941, a large pit was dug in a meadow behind the village. On November 4, all the Jews were gathered on the central square. There was a roll call, and all the Jews had to place their personal belongings onto a truck.
